Hello! Today I am presenting you with a fairly easy Chicken Mushroom Pepper-fry. This one doesn’t require much a time or a lot of ingredients to prepare. Also, it’s healthy! 😀

What you need:

  • 1 can of mushrooms (you can use packet ones too, if so 1 packet would do)
  • 200 grams boneless chicken (cut into cubes)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced thinly)
  • 5 garlic cloves (finely chopped) PS: you can use more if you like, haha.
  • 2 green chilli (finely chopped)
  • 1 to 2 tbsp of pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp of chilli flakes
  • salt to taste
  • 1 to 2 tbsp of oil
  • 5 to 6 curry leaves

How to prepare:

  1. Add oil to your pan, keep the heat at medium-low and wait for the oil to heat up a bit.
  2.  Add the garlic and cook it for about 30 seconds and then add the onion and salt. Cook until the onion starts to get the brownish color.
  3. Add the green chilli and cook for a while. Then add the pepper powder and the chilli flakes. Stir it up and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Now add the chicken and cook till the chicken browns up a bit.
  5. Next add the mushroom. You do not need to add extra water as mushroom releases water (if you feel like the dish might be too dry you can add 2 to 3 tbsp of water that comes in the mushroom can or if using the mushroom packet you can just add normal water). Add the curry leaves at this stage and cook with the lid on.
  6. Stir it up till the the water is dried up and mushrooms are a nice brown (will take roughly 5 to 6 mins).

You can enjoy this dish as it is or with some rice also!
